Daddy Daughter Dance!

Tonight Maddi and Ross went to the Daddy Daughter Dance put on by the military. I had never heard of this before this year, but apparently it is a big deal. I was told that to a military brat the Daddy Daughter Dance is the same as getting your drivers license to a civillian, thats pretty exciting. Maddi was a little nervous at first but then got in to it and had a great time picking out her dress and what she wanted to do with her hair, she has really been looking forward to this day. Unfortunately, the school called today and said that she had a fever and I needed to come and get her. I took her to the doctor and they said she had strep. She was so sick and freezing, I finally got some ibuprofen in her which helped, but every time I try to give her the antibiotic she throws up, poor thing! She was determined to go to the dance though so we got some medicine in her, got her hair done at my friends salon and they went to their dance. She said she felt good the whole time and that she had a lot of fun. I told Ross to watch what she ate and to not stay very long, well they stayed quite a while and she ate a whole bunch of chocolate which made her sick later haha, but what can you do. I am glad that she had a good time at the dance at least and hopefully next time she will feel better!

How fun!!! That's to bad that she was sick, but good thing she was able to tough it out to go with Daddy. She looks Beautiful! And Ross, well he looks like a solider what can I say. That's awesome that the Military does something like that. Sounds like you just have to be at the right Post. I've never heard of it before either.

I've never heard of it either but I'm so glad they got to go!! They both look so good and she is beautiful! I can't believe how big she is! I'm sorry that she is sick! Kay has strep too, they are talking about taking her tonsels out. Both kids have been sick since we got up here. I am so ready for it to be warm again. Miss Ya tons!
